If you’re looking for a fun and innovative fundraiser for your child’s school, youth club, or scouting troop, you may want to consider planning a golf tournament! Miniature golf is an activity that most kids and their parents enjoy, and the money earned can go toward new sports equipment, a camping trip, or activity funding for your local school or club. Keep reading as we outline a basic game plan to help you in your planning golf tournament fundraiser.

Set the location: contact your local miniature golf courses and see if any of them will donate their course for a few hours for a worthy cause. Or, they may offer reduced group rates for your charity golf tournament. Either way, most of the profits can go directly to your organization, rather than the mini golf course owners.

Select a fundraising plan: one popular idea is to have children get contributors to sign up to pay a specific amount of money for every point a child is under “par”. Make sure to set the par to a generous and reasonable number given the ages and skill levels of the participating children. Another idea is to have contributors to pay per hole played.

Advertise: you will want to make sure that as many community members attend your fundraiser as possible. See if you can get free ad space in the local church bulletin, school newsletter, or newspaper. There are also online ad spaces you might wish to check out. It is also a good idea to post large, colorful signs to help direct people to your event.

Refreshments: if you’re planning golf tournament fundraiser, you can also raise money by selling refreshments at the tournament. The children and parents can help serve food and beverages. Many mini golf tournament pros say that they purchased drink mix, baked goods, candy, pretzels, etc, from a local discount warehouse in bulk and sold it at a premium at their event.

Mini golf design is something that can be created by anyone at home. All you need is a little creativity and innovative ideas. Miniature golf is a popular recreational activity which is enjoyed by people of every age group. You can create your own mini golf course in your garden with the help of household items. All you need to do is make the game more interesting by creating more number of obstacles and hurdles. It can be made from movable commodities and does not require a lot of space. The best thing about a homemade golf course is that it can be easily moved from one place to another without any difficulty.

Before starting with the procedure of making the game you have to select the appropriate place to make it. It is not necessary that the place has to be properly leveled. You can also choose rough land or a hilly surface. This will make the game more tough and interesting. After choosing the place you will have to build a foundation. It is not necessary to make a cement foundation in case of a homemade golf course. All you need is a piece of long plywood. If you want to give it a more real look then attach a green colored carpet on the plywood. You can fix the carpet with nails. People who want to make the game more interesting can use plastic bowls to create hurdles. All you have to do is place the bowls on the plywood and then fix the green carpet on it.

The next step will be making holes. It is wise to decide in advance where you want to make them. You can create more than one hole in a single course. Use bricks to outline the hole so that the ball does not go beyond the boundary. Golf course holes can be created in many different shapes. It is not necessary to stick to the simple square or rectangular shape. Experiment with different techniques and make your game more interesting. It is good to use unwanted household items as obstacles in your game. You can use many different types of stuff to create your own mini golf design. There is no restriction in the ways to create one. You can come up with your own interesting ideas to make your game look more unique and interesting. Ask your kids to help you build one and you never know they might use their creativity to make the game even better than you had imagined.

Miniature golf has been around for quite a while now. No one knows for sure when and who thought of it. Never the less miniature remains one of the all time favorite pastime sport. So much so that even during the Great Depression of 1929 the sport continued to flourish and was called “Rinkiedink” golf. Entire families can spend a fun day at the course. Golf courses are constantly evolving. Now-a-days courses are now designed to offer players realistic scenarios by including water, sand, rocks and vegetation traps.

You could build an amateur miniature course in your backyard. It’s pretty simple. There are commercially available kits that are easy to install. Actually all you got to do is mow your lawn. The pieces are standalone. So after you have mowed the lawn you place the pieces pretty much any way you like. Another good idea is to assemble them like Lego blocks or hot wheels tracks to spice things up. Makes a good patio party game or BBQ party game idea too. If you want to go into something more permanent and closer to the real thing, consider building one in your backyard.

If you’re the DIY handyman type you could build it yourself. You can find all the information you will need to undertake this endeavor on the internet. Make sure you go through it all carefully and form a work plan before you begin. The kids can get involved as well. Ask them to come up with ideas for the courses. You will be surprised by their ingenuity. If you think the works going to be too much for you alone throw a party and invite your friends over to help. Make the party enticing. Food. Bikinis girls working the bar. Be creative.

If you are not the handyman type, despair not. You could hire a miniature golf course designer. Don’t worry, a mini golf course designer will take your budget and the area you willing to employ into account, and come up with a design. Make sure you inform him of all the features you would like especially the water features so that he can give you a quote. Adding water features to your course will make things more exciting. If you are going add water features, adding a waterfall is a good idea. Like the course designer will tell you adding a waterfall will cut overall costs, by acting as a reservoir for the rest of the water features.

A great and fun activity that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own backyard is miniature golf. Mini golf is a great and fun game for the whole family, and you don’t need to go to a mini golf course and pay to play when you can learn building the right miniature golf course for yourself. Building a mini golf course isn’t that hard, and once you’re done you’ll be able to play a quick and fun game with your loved ones. The first thing that you’ll need to do is look at your backyard or wherever you’re planning to put the golf course. Try to see how much land you have to build your course in so that you know what you have to work with.

If a part of the yard is meant for a garden, then you’ll have to build your course around it. Make a plan on paper of the land that you can place your golf course on. Then you’ll need to decide where you want to put your holes. Decide on how many holes you want to put in your course and what kind of shots you want to make in order to get the ball into the holes. Once you’ve laid down the plan for the holes, you’ll need to think about the kinds of obstacles you’ll place in front of each hole.

Obstacles make the game a lot more fun, so choose ones that will make the game more interesting and complicated, but not too hard that it’s discouraging. Some great obstacles include ramps and pipes. If you’re willing to build and construct a great course, then you can even make moving obstacles to increase the level of challenge for your future mini golf players. The next thing you’ll need to do is find out what kind of supplies you will need to use. You will need some PVC pipes for the pipes in the course, bags of sand, siding materials, planks for ramps, and other things that you’d like to include in your mini golf course.

Make a list of these things and buy them in a hardware store. It’s a good idea to buy extra materials so that if ever something gets broken you can fix it or replace it easily and quickly. Once you’ve got your supplies, you can start to build your course. If you made a plan ahead, then you’ll be able to easily build your course exactly the way you want it. You can move around obstacles and holes if they end up being too close and just change your plans a little bit. When you’re done making the course, you can bring in the friends or family to see it and help you make any necessary changes to it.

Golf communities are becoming more popular than ever. That’s because families are realizing the value of living in a gated community that also offers plenty of activities and the like close by. As a result the majority of new golf course communities are focusing on how to make buyers happy and make them purchase a home in that community. As a result golf course communities are starting to look like hotels with all the many services offered!

No matter what new golf community you check out you will likely find it offers some amazing lifestyle amenities. For example, some of the new trends include spas and clubhouses as well as beaches, marinas, recreation areas, fine dining, shopping, nature preserves, and even churches! These new golf communities are focusing on creating a miniature town right in your own gated community so that whatever need you have may be met without any hassle on your part.

The biggest thing a golf course community wants to offer its residents is stress free living. That means offering them whatever it takes to make their lives stress free and easy. So, if that means incorporating a shopping area within the gated golf community that offers a dry cleaners, grocery store, and the like then the golf community is going to do it. Small bank branches have even been popping up in some golf communities and who knows what will be next! For a while restaurants have found a place within gated communities and more restaurants will probably be added in the future. That’s because individuals living within a gated golf community wants the ease of being able to eat out without the hassle of having to actually leave their neighborhood.

Perhaps this is the biggest trend of all and that is creating a miniature city within the confines of the gated community. Everything you could possibly need is right there so there is no reason to leave. Who wouldn’t want to buy a home in a private golf community that had pools, spas, gold, tennis, recreation, nature trails, banks, restaurants, shopping, and more? It is the perfect place to call home not to mention it is safe and secure for you and your family. Of course, all gated communities don’t offer all of these amenities but they are being added one at a time. Not to mention new communities are being built as mini cities from the get go.
